Today, October 5, Farhan Akhtar took to Instagram to share stunning images from the sets of 120 Bahadur. The first picture showcases several tents nestled against towering mountains and a breathtaking sky, evoking the feeling of a dream morning. He also posted another shot from his tent, offering a glimpse of the picturesque Ladakh scenery that has us all buzzing with excitement. In his post, he simply captioned it, “A quiet base.”

As soon as Farhan shared the stunning pics, fans erupted with excitement in the comments section. Farah Khan couldn’t help but express her awe at the sky, exclaiming, “Look at this sky.” One fan remarked, “Breathe the most clean air,” while another added, “Colours of joy.” Another comment read, “Soothing! According to ETimes, Farhan Akhtar has undergone a remarkable transformation for his role, striving for a leaner physique reminiscent of Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Shaitan Singh during his military service. To maintain the secrecy of his new look, Farhan has reduced his public appearances, and the official announcement of the film didn’t reveal his appearance either.

Farhan Akhtar has an impressive filmography that includes notable titles such as Rock On, Karthik Calling Karthik, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dil Dhadakne Do, and Luck By Chance. He also appeared in sequels and other films like Rock On 2, The Sky Is Pink, Shaadi Ke Side Effects, and Wazir. His last appearance was in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s 2021 sports drama Toofaan.

Known for his versatility as an actor, director, writer, and producer, Farhan is set to make his return to the big screen after a three-year hiatus, portraying Major Shaitan Singh in the upcoming film 120 Bahadur. Renuka Swamy Case: Court adjourns jailed actor Darshan’s bail plea hearing; counsel accuses police of fabricating evidence

Darshan Thoogudeepa has been serving his judicial custody since June after he was arrested in connection with the brutal murder of his apparent fan Renuka Swamy. In the latest developments in the case, the actor filed for bail petition after spending 100 days in jail. However, the court adjourned his bail plea hearing till October 4 but as per a report in Oneindia, the court again postponed the hearing till October 5.

Further, the report suggests that the senior counsel C.V. Nagesh, representing Darshan, claimed that the police had fabricated evidence against his client. He criticized the investigation and compared it to a fictional narrative from Arabian Nights. C.V. Nagesh argued that a media trial had heavily influenced the case. Moreover, he said that the injury marks on Renuka Swamy’s body were dog bites rather than an assault by Darshan.

The counsel claimed that the police failed to follow proper procedures in collecting evidence from the crime scene. Additionally, Nagesh submitted the SC rulings to support his claim that the evidence recovery process was not as per the prescribed guidelines.

In a separate report by mathrubhumi.com, Darshan Thoogudeepa claimed to be haunted in jail by Renuka Swamy‘s spirit. The jailed actor has also discussed the matter with authorities that it is becoming difficult for him to cope with the situation as he is alone in his cell. Darshan complained of sleepless nights because of the fear. Further, sources stated they have heard Darshan shouting and screaming while sleeping in the wee hours.

Darshan Thoogudeepa reportedly will request the authorities through his lawyers to shift him back to Parappana’s Agrahara Central jail if the court extends his judicial custody on Saturday. It is pertinent to mention that the murder-accused actor was transferred to Bellary Jail over alleged VIP treatment in prison. Following this, an investigation revealed evidence to support the allegations and confirmed that the prison officials cooperated in the act.

Amethi Murders Could Be Result Of Relationship Gone Sour: Cops

The main accused in the killing of a teacher, his wife and their two young children in Amethi has claimed that he had a relationship with the woman for nearly a year and a half and carried out the murders because it had gone sour, the police have said.

The man, Chandan Verma, was arrested from a toll plaza near Noida on Friday afternoon and, while the police were recovering the motorcycle and pistol used in the murders on Saturday, he snatched a policeman’s gun and fired at him. While the policeman managed to save himself, Verma was shot in the leg by another cop, a statement by the Uttar Pradesh Police said.

Sunil Kumar, his wife Poonam and their two daughters – who were just one and six years old – had been shot dead at their home in Amethi’s Bhavani Nagar on Thursday. Soon after the gruesome murders, it had come to light that Poonam had filed a police complaint against Verma less than two months ago in which she had said that he had threatened to kill her on more than one occasion and would be responsible if anything happened to her or her family. Poonam had also accused Verma of sexually harassing her.

In a press conference on Friday, Amethi Superintendent of Police Anoop Kumar Singh said, “Verma was arrested by the Special Task Force at the Jewar Toll Plaza around 2.40 pm while he was trying to flee to Delhi. In our initial questioning, Verma has said he was in a relationship with the woman (Poonam) for about a year and a half. He said there were some problems in the relationship recently, which kept him tense. This is why he shot her and her family.”

Mr Singh said Verma carried out the murders alone and this was borne out by the fact that all the bullets found at the scene of crime were from one pistol. “Verma fired 10 bullets. After killing everyone in the family, he tried to shoot himself, but the bullet missed. He said he couldn’t gather the courage to shoot himself again and fled.”

NDTV had reported on Friday that Verma had announced his intention to kill the family and then himself in a WhatsApp status on September 12. The status said: “5 people are going to die, I will show you soon.”

Police Shooting

In a statement, the UP Police said Verma was taken to Amethi on Saturday by some officials to recover the pistol and the motorcycle used in the crime when he snatched a policeman’s official pistol from his holster and shot at him “with the intention of killing him”. The statement said that while the policeman saved himself with “practical wisdom”, another cop fired at Verma in self-defence and hit him in the leg.

Verma has been taken to a hospital for treatment.

Woman’s Complaint

In her first information report, Poonam had said she had gone to a hospital in Rae Bareli on August 18 when Verma had sexually harassed her and then slapped her and her husband when she protested.

“He said ‘If you report this I will kill you’. He has threatened to kill me before this as well. My family is in danger. If any incident or accident happens with me or my husband in the future, Chandan Verma will be responsible. I request you to register my complaint and take appropriate action,” she had said.
