Farah Khan Debunks Main Hoon Na 2 Rumours

Farah Khan has opened up about the recent reports and speculations about working with Shah Rukh Khan in Main Hoon Na 2. A report from Pinkvilla was doing rounds on social media some time back, which stated that the director is planning to make a sequel to the 2004 hit. Now, Farah has debunked the rumours and dismissed reports of Main Hoon Na 2 happening any time in the near future.

As per Times Of India, Farah asked fans to not be swayed by the recent rumours about Main Hoon Na 2. She said, “Don’t believe in all these rumours.” She strictly brushed aside the speculations and noted that the reports are only rumours and not the truth.

For those unaware, Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan have worked together in some of Hindi cinema’s most iconic films. They have worked in Main Hoon Na (2004), Om Shanti Om (2007) and Happy New Year (2014). After the 2014 collaboration, the two haven’t made films together.

As per the previous report, Farah Khan had also cracked a double role concept for Shah Rukh Khan. It had further added that SRK was also excited about the same and would begin filming right after completing his upcoming film KING. It stated, “The idea is said to elevate the emotion and entertainment quotient of the sequel, while SRK will explore two contrasting characters.”

The report also stated that the original cast was returning. Moreover, the movie was following a patriotism angle. But it seems that the director has debunked all the rumours and a sequel to Main Hoon Na is not in the works right now.

On the professional front, Farah hasn’t announced any projects yet. As for Shah Rukh, he hasn’t announced any movies besides King, which is releasing on December 24, 2026.

Rajinikanth X Kamal Haasan film to be slice-of-life project about friendship? All we know about its plot

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are all set to join hands after four decades for a film. Now, it appears that the promo shoot is underway, with a light-hearted entertainer in the works.

Is Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan’s film a slice-of-life entertainer?

According to a report by Movies Singapore, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are set to share the screen soon in what is said to be a slice-of-life entertainer. The film is reportedly centred on a tale of friendship and is expected to be a light-hearted story.

Apparently, the movie’s promo shoot is currently underway on a two-floor set, with one floor designed as a hotel and the other as a mechanic’s workshop. Similar to the Jailer and Jailer 2 promos, the upcoming glimpse is also expected to feature Nelson Dilipkumar and Anirudh Ravichander, and will reportedly be shot by acclaimed filmmaker Rajiv Menon.

As of now, these remain rumours, and nothing has been officially confirmed by the makers. However, the report also suggests that the promo will be used to pitch the film to OTT platforms.

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan’s work front

Rajinikanth will next appear in a lead role in Jailer 2. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film will see Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar reprising their roles and will also feature Vidya Balan and Mithun Chakraborty in pivotal roles.

In an earlier interview, Mithun Chakraborty hinted that the film may feature a cameo appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. However, no official confirmation has been made by the makers so far. Additionally, actress Nora Fatehi is expected to appear in a special dance number.

While a premiere date has yet to be announced, the makers are reportedly aiming for a mid-2026 release.

Looking ahead, Rajinikanth will next begin work on a film tentatively titled Thalaivar173. The upcoming project is set to be co-produced by Kamal Haasan under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International and will be directed by Don fame Cibi Chakravarthy.

Initially, the project was announced with director Sundar C at the helm. However, due to prior commitments, the filmmaker opted out of the project.

On the other hand, Kamal Haasan will next appear in a lead role in the tentatively titled KH237, directed by the Anbariv duo.

Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil is a political comedy satire that follows the story of Jeevarathnam, the president of a village panchayat, who is entrusted with ensuring that a wedding function goes smoothly. While things begin normally, the day takes a drastic turn when the wedding house’s neighbour passes away, and the president is expected to fulfil responsibilities there as well.

With both parties refusing to adjust, Jeevarathnam is forced to balance both events, leading him down a rabbit hole of chaos. As tensions escalate, the panchayat president finds himself at the centre of the turmoil, tasked with resolving the standoff and restoring harmony.

Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil stars Jiiva in the lead role, along with Prathana Nathan, Thambi Ramaiah, Anuraj, Ilavarasu, Jenson Dhivakar, Sarjin Kumar, Jaiwanth, Rajesh Pandian, Amith Mohan, and several others in key roles.

Co-written and directed by Falimy fame Nithish Sahadev, the film also features writing contributions from Sanjo Joseph and Anuraj OB. The movie is bankrolled by Kannan Ravi under the banner of Kannan Ravi Productions.

The film’s songs and background score are composed by Vishnu Vijay, with Bablu Aju and Arjune Babu serving as the cinematographer and editor, respectively.

Jiiva’s work front

Jiiva was last seen in the lead role in Aghathiyaa, a horror action thriller directed by Pa. Vijay. Apart from the SMS actor, the film also starred Arjun Sarja, Raashii Khanna, Edward Sonnenblick, Matylda, Redin Kingsley, Shah Ra, Senthil, and several others in key roles.

Looking ahead, the actor will next be seen in a lead role in Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan. The upcoming comedy film is directed by M. Rajesh, marking the actor’s reunion with the director after the blockbuster cult classic Siva Manasula Sakthi (SMS).
