A wildfire in southern France which started on Tuesday injured nine people and burned through 12,000 hectares (27,000 acres) of vegetation after slowing down into Wednesday, according to local officials.

Indian Railways has so far fitted 11,535 coaches across zones with CCTV cameras to improve the safety and security of passengers, the Parliament was informed on Wednesday.

The wildfire is the largest in France this year and has burned some 12,000 hectares of land, an area larger than Paris.
