Protests erupted outside the Jammu and Kashmir BJP office after the party announced a list of 15 candidates for the first phase of assembly polls. Party workers expressed dissatisfaction with the selection process, accusing the party of overlooking longtime supporters. The first phase of elections will take place on September 18, with nominations due by August 27.

Private doctors will be stationed at Community Health Centres (CHCs) and Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in villages.
