In a development that’ll bring cheer to fans of Prabhas, the makers of his upcoming film The Raja Saab have shared an update on advance tickets bookings and premieres. While the horror comedy is slated for release on January 9, 2026, the premieres would be held on the eve.
The makers of The Raja Saab have shared that the advance bookings ticket sales for the film’s premieres in North America will open from December 4. Prathyangira Cinemas who earlier distributed blockbuster films like Pushpa 2: The Rule, Devara Part 1, Kalki 2898 AD, Salaar and Stree 2 among many is releasing The Raja Saab in North America. The horror comedy, which will release in a record number of theatres, will hold its premieres on January 8, 2026. Given the buzz and the expectations on the Prabhas-starrer, the distributor is expecting a record-breaking opening in the territory. Moreover, Prabhas, one of the biggest superstars in Indian cinema, has an envious box office record overseas.
Prabhas’s previous films like Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire have scripted new box office records in North America. The recently released Baahubali – The Epic has concluded its run with a historic collection of approximately 12.25 crore in the US; $933K (Rs 8.26 crore) at the North American box office alone. This is an all-time record collection for an Indian re-release in the region – a testimony to Prabhas’ stardom. With the theatrical trailer of The Raja Saab got great response from fans and audiences, the distributor is pinning hopes on a solid theatrical run. The premieres of Prabhas’s earlier films like Kalki 2898 AD amassed $3.9M while Salaar and Baahubali 2 earned $2.6M and $2.45M respectively at the North American box office. Given the fantastic record, fans are hoping that the Maruthi directorial will recreate the earlier magic.
