Pawan Kalyan’s latest release They Call Him OG, marketed as OG, has opened to a blockbuster response. Fans have been enjoying watching their favourite star in the gangster drama in theatres. According to the latest trade reports, OG collections on the first day were around Rs 90.25 crore (net) in India. This is a new record for a Telugu film, and also for a Pawan Kalyan-starrer. And for the unversed, even before hitting the screens, the film raked in over Rs 100 crore worldwide through advance bookings alone.

They Call Him OG made a stellar opening on September 25 by registering Rs 70 crore (net) in India and amassing Rs 20.25 crore net collection from premiere shows. The fan favourite gangster thriller was successfully able to leverage in on the hype surrounding it, and as a result, took bumper openings at the box office. In terms of occupancy the Telugu region registered 69.35% on Thursday and the night shows peaked at 77.51%. While Hindi and Kannada versions had 10.37% and 9.19% occupancy rate, the Tamil version saw 18.36%. With record openings, the Pawan Kalyan-starrer has beaten other big films of 2025 like Coolie (Rs 65 crore), Chhaava (Rs 31 crore) and Saiyaara (Rs 21.5 crore).

With BookMyShow rating of 9.3, and over 2 lakh booked already, the film is all set to script new records at the US box office. Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya, They Call Him OG features intense action sequences. Pawan Kalyan’s return to the gangster role and Emraan Hashmi’s performance earned praise from critics and audiences.
