Iron Man Captain America and Hulk Join Mumbai Ganpati Celebrations

Trust Indian fans to find their own unique ways to celebrate the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its beloved superheroes. Videos from a Ganpati pandal in Mumbai have captured the Avengers making a special appearance as part of the decor, delighting MCU fans and bringing some superhero spirit to the festivities.

As the pandal celebrates its 50th year, iconic superheroes including Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Chris Evans’ Captain America, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and several other fan-favourite Marvel characters have been seamlessly woven into the celebrations.

The Avengers’ appearance comes at an exciting time for Marvel fans in India, with Avengers: Endgame: Encore bringing the epic conclusion of the Infinity Saga back to the big screen on 25th September and setting up the events that will lead up to Avengers: Doomsday, slated to release on 18th December.

Check out the video below:

The original Avengers: Endgame was released back in 2019, showcasing the climactic battle between the Avengers and Thanos. It was part of Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, closing the curtain on the 22 movies prior to it with a fitting end for the heroes. Following this, Spider-Man: No Way Home concluded Phase 3, moving the tale ahead and introducing even more characters to the ever-growing franchise.

Now, fans are geared up for Avengers: Doomsday. To better prepare us for this film, Avengers: Endgame: Encore will be released with an additional four minutes of footage, which will serve as a narrative bridge between the two movies.

Avengers: Doomsday marks the beginning of Marvel Studios’ epic two-part Multiverse Saga finale, setting the stage for Avengers: Secret Wars. The film brings together heroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Wakandans, and the New Avengers, as they unite against a common enemy: Victor Von Doom, aka Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.

Rashmika Mandanna Feels Honoured to Be Part of MS Subbulakshmi Biopic

Rashmika Mandanna looked dazzling at the launch of her upcoming film, a biopic on legendary Carnatic vocalist M.S. Subbulakshmi. She wore a stunning blue silk saree that embodied classic elegance. Sporting a rich and vibrant shade of traditional blue, her saree had fine silk with an authentic drape. Adding to her vintage appeal, she kept accessories minimal with classic Indian jewellery that looked fitting for the event.

Rashmika recites Subbulakshmi’s devotional track

While Rashmika thanked the filmmakers for the opportunity to be part of such a prestigious film, what caught everyone’s attention was how she demonstrated her respect for the legendary singer. When Kamal Haasan sounded the clapboard for the first scene, Rashmika recited the famous devotional track, Bhagyada Lakshmi Baramma. Subbulakshmi, along with her daughter and accompanist Radha Viswanathan, recorded this timeless and widely cherished rendition of this prayer dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi. The crowd (as a chorus) also joined her for the act.

Music empress

Kamal Haasan, who attended the event as the guest of honour, described Subbulakshmi as ‘the musical empress who united India through her voice.’ No matter which language she sang in, Amma (Subbulakshmi) elevated its beauty through her music. That is the timeless message her music has given all of us.”
