Following the abrogation of Article 370, terror groups like LeT and JeM rebranded themselves as TRF and PAFF to mask their jihadist ideology and exploit claims of freedom struggle. This tactical shift aimed to evade sanctions, woo Western human rights groups, and rally cadre amidst increased pressure from Indian security forces.
