‘It’s a Rocky Road’: Grey’s Anatomy Star Kevin McKidd Gives a Glimpse Into the Upcoming 21st Season of the Show.

The drama on TV’s favorite medical drama might be getting more intense. As Grey’s Anatomy gets ready to return for its 21st season, the show’s star, Kevin McKidd, is giving a glimpse into the future of two of the show’s prominent characters. Kevin, who plays the role of Dr. Owen Hunt, ‘thinks it’s going to be a rocky road.’

Kevin McKidd, who waltzes into the show Grey’s Anatomy and in our lives in Season 5, has continued to be a series favorite for fans. Kevin, who recently starred as Andrew Bloom in the much-awaited novel-to-movie adaptation, It Ends With Us, is excited about his return to his natural habitat on Grey’s Anatomy.

But while McKidd is excited about stepping back into the role of Owen, he also has his worries. Dr Owen Hunt has been through a lot in the seasons that he has appeared on the show, from his character going through PTSD to his tumultuous relationship with Sandra Oh’s Christina Yang. Hunt finally found love with Dr. Teddy, played by the stunning Kim Raver, but the last time we saw them, Teddy and Owen were in quite hot waters.

Kevin McKidd answered a few curious questions from the fans when he walked the red carpet for the Blake Lively starrer. When asked about what the future holds for Doctors Teddy and Owen, Kevin teased the fans and said, “It’s a rocky road for them to come back to the hospital; it’s a lot of fun when it happens.”

The Made Of Honor star elaborated, “I can’t say too much about it, but it causes some tension between Teddy and Owen as well.” But talking about their future, he said, “Because there’s been some decisions made, but I think they’re going to fight through it. But it’s a little bit rocky for a little moment.”

Through the years, there have been many exits and controversies surrounding the cast; Kevin is actually one of the members who has been deeply involved in the show, not just starring in it but also directing multiple episodes.

He has been part of the show since 2008, and when asked if he has considered moving on, Mckidd said that he does not know the answer to that question. But he insisted that he was happy playing the part.

The Percy Jackson star also revealed the secret behind his longevity interest in playing Owen Hunt. Kevin credited the new showrunner, Meg Marines, with freshening up the characters and giving them something new to do.

McKidd also got a little nostalgic thinking about his long journey on the show and how the cast and crew are like ‘his family.’ He continued, “I’ve been there for 15 years; I can’t believe it. I’ve not been anywhere for 15 years.” Kevin McKidd concluded, “So it feels like family now. It would be a lot to walk away from. So I’m happy there.”

Kevin’s love and loyalty for the show are heartwarming, and fans are excited to see his turn, especially since he was one of the original cast members. The new 21st season of Grey’s Anatomy will premiere September 26 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.

Peaky Blinders Creator Steven Knight Reveals How Snoop Dogg Made Him Realize The Show ‘Is Pretty Universal’

Peaky Blinders is quite famous among celebrities! Barack Obama, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Emily Blunt, Margot Robbie, John Krasinsky and many others have publicly admitted to being fans of the show. But it was Snoop Dogg who changed creator Steven Knight’s perspective!

During an interview with BBC, Knight shared his interaction with the American rapper and how it made him realize the show’s “pretty universal” impact. Snoop talked about his life and family and how the show “reminded him of how he got involved in gang culture.” This made Knight realize that people from Eastern Europe to Buenos Aires are “getting it and feeling the same thing.”

The show creator found the rapper’s story “really interesting” because it was all about dysfunctional family dynamics which is also a consistent theme on the show.

“It was all about family keeping you in, and escaping from family to do the bad stuff, and then the family relocating their emotions and loyalties to follow you, and then escaping again,” he added. Describing Snoop as a bloke, Knight recalled him as a great person to have a conversation with.

Knight created the show based on his parents’ lives and his own childhood in Birmingham, where his mother worked for local bookmakers at a time when betting was illegal. Growing up in the town, he learned about local gangsters named Peaky Blinders and that’s when the idea was first planted.

The show based on gangsters in 1920s Birmingham is returning with a movie version starring Oscar winner actor Cillian Murphy, after completing six successful seasons in 2022. Talking about the film, Knight told BBC that it’s a “fitting” end to the franchise.

Besides bringing the Shelby family back for the fans, he wants to create a legacy for Birmingham through this project. “A place where people come who want to do different stuff, brave stuff, bold stuff,” he added. Murphy previously spoke to Deadline about the Peaky Blinders film and called a homage for the fans.

“It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me. … It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders,” he added.

“Chairperson Made Relevant Disclosures”: SEBI Punctures Hindenburg Report

The capital markets regulator SEBI today asked investors to remain calm and exercise due diligence before reacting to reports such as that by US-based short seller Hindenburg Research.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) said the allegations made by Hindenburg against the Adani Group have been duly investigated by SEBI and 23 out of 24 investigations were completed in March 2024. One remaining investigation is close to completion.

“As a matter of policy, SEBI refrains from commenting on any investigation and ongoing enforcement matter,” SEBI said.

Chairperson Madhabi Buch made relevant disclosures from time to time and recused herself in matters involving potential conflicts of interest, SEBI said in the statement.

The Adani Group also refuted the latest allegations by Hindenburg Research as “malicious, mischievous and manipulative selections of publicly available information” to arrive at “predetermined conclusions for personal profiteering with wanton disregard for facts and the law”.

SEBI said the report seeks to question its action in issuing a show cause notice to Hindenburg Research in June. “The show cause notice in question, alleging violations of securities laws by Hindenburg Research, has been issued by following the due process of the law,” SEBI said.

“It is noted that Hindenburg Research has itself made the show cause notice issued to it available on its website. The show cause notice contains the reasons for its issuance. The proceedings in this matter are ongoing and the same is being dealt with in accordance with the established procedure and in compliance with the principles of natural justice,” SEBI said.

“Lastly, it is emphasised that SEBI has adequate internal mechanisms for addressing issues relating to conflict of interest, which include disclosure framework and provision for recusal. It is noted that relevant disclosures required in terms of holdings of securities and their transfers have been made by the Chairperson from time to time. Chairperson has also recused herself in matters involving potential conflicts of interest,” the regulator said.

Madhabi Puri Buch and husband Dhaval Buch called the allegations by Hindenburg baseless, and also said the short seller is attacking the credibility of SEBI and attempting a character assassination of the chairperson.

Madhabi Buch in a separate statement said her investment in offshore funds mentioned in the Hindenburg report predates her appointment at SEBI by two years.

The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) called the Hindenburg report an attempt to create sensation by connecting random events from the past. The AMFI asserted that India’s financial system is secure, transparent, designed to foster growth and innovation with high integrity.
