During the Rath Yatra in Puri, approximately 750 devotees were hospitalized due to exhaustion and crowd pressure. Health officials reported that over 230 individuals were admitted to the Infectious Disease Hospital, while around 520 received treatment at the district headquarters hospital.

The flight 6E 6152, which had arrived from Kolkata around 3:15 pm, was scheduled to operate onward to Patna and Lucknow.
