Three terrorists were killed at Lidwas near Srinagar today, shortly after the security forces launched ‘Operation Mahadev’, the Indian Army said.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed Parliament regarding Operation Sindoor, the retaliatory strike following the Pahalgam attack. He confirmed the operation successfully targeted terrorist infrastructure, eliminating over 100 individuals, and was paused after achieving its objectives, dismissing claims of external pressure. Singh highlighted India’s effective defense systems in thwarting Pakistan’s subsequent large-scale attack, ensuring no damage to Indian assets.

Earlier this month, the probe agency conducted searches on 14 premises – 12 in Uttar Pradesh’s Balrampur and two in Mumbai – in connection with the case.
