A senior Ukrainian intelligence officer was shot dead on Thursday in Kyiv, prompting authorities to launch a probe and find if it was an assassination.

According to eyewitnesses, a black car began tailing the auto and intercepted it near the 12th Cross on Ramanuja Road at 9:18 pm on Thursday.
