Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to a 48-hour ceasefire starting Wednesday evening, following a week of deadly cross-border clashes. This truce, requested by the Afghan Taliban, aims to de-escalate tensions and facilitate dialogue. The agreement follows Pakistan’s precision strikes in Kandahar and Kabul in retaliation for attacks that claimed the lives of 23 Pakistani soldiers.
