Photos: Actors Politicians Singers and More Bid Asha Bhosle The Final Goodbye

The last rites of legendary singer Asha Bhosle will be held at Shivaji Park today with full state honours. The 92-year-old icon, whose voice defined Bollywood music for over seven decades, passed away on Sunday due to multi-organ failure at Breach Candy Hospital. Her mortal remains were later brought to her residence in Lower Parel, where admirers and members of the film industry have been gathering to pay their respects.

Her body has been placed in a glass casket, draped in the tricolour and decorated with white lilies, as police personnel offered a ceremonial gun salute as part of state honours. Several prominent names, including Sachin Tendulkar, Riteish Deshmukh, A. R. Rahman and Rakesh Roshan, visited to pay their final respects, joining many others in remembering the timeless legacy she leaves behind.
