The Maharashtra government has conferred the title ‘Rajya Mata’ on indigenous cows to boost their welfare. A new subsidy scheme offers Rs 50 per day for rearing these cows in goshalas. Managed by the Maharashtra Goseva Commission, this initiative seeks to support struggling goshalas and reverse the declining population of indigenous cows.

The top court said it had already passed an order on this issue and it was for the law enforcement agencies to implement the order. It clarified its earlier order and said it applies to all intermediaries

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday near Veena Enclave here when Sandeep, 30, was headed towards Railway Road from Nangloi police station during duty hours in plainclothes.
