The Delhi Police has arrested two armed men and seized a bullet-proof SUV during a routine vehicle check in outer north Delhi on Christmas eve, officials said on Thursday.

Barwan Kalan, a remote Bihar village, is dubbed the “hamlet of bachelors” as lack of roads, water, and electricity has prevented marriages for over 50 years. Despite being near tourist spots, residents face isolation, with basic services like hospitals and schools miles away.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a Christmas service, emphasizing love and compassion, as the BJP intensifies its outreach to the Christian community. Party president JP Nadda also participated in regional celebrations. This engagement follows previous outreach efforts, though opposition highlights concerns over incidents targeting Christians in some areas.
