The visual rebranding of Doordarshan’s news channels, characterized by a shift in the color of its logo from red to orange, has stirred controversy. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and the Minister of Information and Broadcasting engaged in a heated exchange over what the opposition labeled as an effort to “saffronize” the national broadcaster.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar sparked a fresh controversy on Saturday with a remark, seemingly directed at RJD chief Lalu Prasad for encouraging his own sons and daughters to enter politics. Kumar stated,”Paida to bahut kar diya…Itna jyada paida karna chahiye kisi ko, bal bachcha (Should anybody have so many children)?”
