Shocking : Less than 0.1% Voters decided fate of 3 crore Telangana

You are absolutely right in getting shocked with head line as mere 0.1% voters i.e approximately 30k voters has decided the Telangana Assembly Election Result concluded in 2023.

It is known fact that Congress has won 63 out of 119 Assembly election and secured majority to form government. Apparently, it looks public Mandate of 3 crore voter population.

If you do deep dive in Assembly wise data then you will realize that there are two constituencies Jukkal and Devarkadra where Congress won by just 1100 and 1300 votes and there are 4 more constituencies where congress won by 3k,4k,5k votes which implies Total 20k voters or less than 0.09% voters decide fate of 6 constituencies where congress has won and crossed Majority.

If these 20k voters has voted the other way then Congress would have slipped to total 57 Assembly seats and State politics would have witnessed unprecedented alignment between BRS,MIM and BJP to deny congress forming Government.

Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy Trade Barbs, This Time Over Big-Dollar Donors

Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley defended her decision to accept corporate money, as she emerged as the top target of her rivals during the fourth Republican presidential debate.

“Look, we will take support from anybody we can take support from, but I have been a conservative fighter all my life,” Haley said Wednesday on the stage in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. “I was a Tea Party candidate when I became governor. We opposed every single corporate bailout we possibly could.”

Haley, who has been surging in the polls and attracted new interest from big-dollar donors in recent weeks, drew pointed attacks straight out of the gate from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Ohio entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

Ramaswamy criticized Haley for taking money from LinkedIn Corp. co-founder Reid Hoffman, who donated $250,000 to a super political action committee backing her. Hoffman has historically donated to Democratic candidates but is one of several billionaires who see Haley as a potential alternative to Donald Trump, the GOP frontrunner.

Ramaswamy said charged that one of Haley’s biggest supporters was BlackRock chief executive officer Larry Fink, who he termed “the king of the woke industrial complex.”

“To say that doesn’t affect her is false,” Ramaswamy added.

Haley retorted, “They’re just jealous. They wish they were supporting them.”

Revanth Reddy’s Swearing-In Today, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi To Attend

Telangana Chief Minister-elect Anumula Revanth Reddy would take oath as the new CM of the state on Thursday following the party’s victory in the recent Assembly elections.

The swearing-in ceremony of the 56-year-old leader would be held at Hyderanad’s sprawling LB Stadium at 1.04 pm today.

State Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, DGP Ravi Gupta held a meeting with senior officials on the arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony and also visited the venue on Wednesday. About one lakh people are expected to attend the event.

Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) chairperson Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi are likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony.

Observing that a ‘people’s government’ would be assuming office on December 7 that will provide a democratic and transparent governance, Revanth Reddy made an open invitation to people to attend the event.

Media reports suggested that Congress MLA-elect and CLP leader in the previous Assembly Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is likely to take oath as deputy chief minister.

CPI General Secretary D Raja would attend the function as per the invitation of Revanth Reddy, CPI MLA-elect Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao said. CPI is a pre-poll ally of Congress for the recent assembly elections.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his deputy D K Shivakumar are also likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony.

Mr Shivakumar was one of the AICC observers appointed by the party leadership to coordinate the CLP meeting in Hyderabad.

State DGP Ravi Gupta said suitable arrangements have been made for traffic and others so that there is minimum inconvenience to the public.

Some VVIPs attending the event would land at the Rajiv Gandhi International airport on city outskirts, while others would arrive at Begumpet airport and arrangements would be made for their security, he said.

The AICC leadership on Tuesday named Revanth Reddy as the leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) and the next chief minister of Telangana.

The Congress defeated the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) in the recent Assembly polls and won 64 out of the total 119 seats. The party’s pre-poll ally CPI bagged one seat.
