The 70th Filmfare Awards will be star-studded, uniting the biggest stars, newcomers, visionary filmmakers, and industry stalwarts under one roof for an unforgettable night of glamour, artistry, and glory. Beyond honouring cinematic brilliance, the event will spotlight Gujarat’s cultural richness, breathtaking landscapes, and rapidly growing film infrastructure, cementing its stature as a world-class destination for entertainment and global cinema.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Shri Prabhav Joshi, Commissioner & Managing Director, TCGL, and Mr Rohit Gopakumar, Director of Worldwide Media and CEO of ZENL, BCCL TV & Digital Network, in the presence of dignitaries. Hosting this esteemed event for the second consecutive year will further strengthen Gujarat’s positioning as a thriving cultural and cinematic destination. This continued momentum aligns with the state’s efforts under the dynamic Cinematic Tourism Policy launched in September 2022, which aims to establish Gujarat as a preferred hub for film and cultural events.

BTS Company HYBE Finally Launches Its Subsidiary in India

Hybe has officially launched its subsidiary in India, HYBE INDIA ENTERTAINMENT PRIVATE LIMITED (Hybe India). For the uninitiated, Hybe is the entertainment giant behind the globally popular Korean boy band, BTS. This marks their fifth global headquarters after Japan, the USA, Latin America and China. Hybe India’s headquarters is in Mumbai.
HYBE
Hybe India looks forward to bridging the gap between the Indian market and the global music and content ecosystem.  They said in a statement, “With nearly 185 million users, India’s music streaming market is the second largest in the world, making it an ideal market for our growth strategy. The rapid rise of K-pop in India highlights the country’s potential, and we are excited to deepen our presence here.”
This move is part of HYBE’s long-term strategy to expand the reach of K-pop worldwide. Under the leadership of Bang Si Hyuk, the company is applying its Multi-home, Multi-genre strategy to major global music markets. The plan is to mix K-pop’s business model with local cultures and music preferences.

HYBE
Hybe India seeks to discover and cultivate homegrown talent while building businesses that are deeply rooted in regional cultures and resonate with local audiences.
Besides BTS, Hybe is the force behind several globally popular groups, including Tomorrow X Together (TXT), Enhypen, Seventeen, and the newest girl group, Katseye. With Hybe launching in India, it also means the chances of seeing these bands live have become very real.

This expansion could also lead to Indian talent joining the global K-pop scene, as HYBE is known for training and launching artists from various countries. The success of HYBE’s earlier expansions has been impressive. In the US, KATSEYE, the new girl group, made it to the Billboard Hot 100 just months after debuting. In Latin America, HYBE’s local audition shows and training programs are already seeing great results. The same success is now expected in India, where the fanbase for K-pop, K-dramas, and Korean culture continues to grow rapidly.
