Baahubali 2 in 2017 became the first Indian film to net Rs 500 crore in Hindi. Since then, no Bollywood film was able to net even Rs 400 crore, forget Rs 500 crore. After the Covid-19 Pandemic, when the state of box office was really bad, especially for Hindi films, big Bollywood films starting with Pathaan did unprecedented business, set new benchmarks and played a catylst in what is considered to be the greatest revival story for the Hindi Film Industry.

From Pathaan To Stree 2, Bollywood Films That Neted Rs 500 Crore Or More In Hindi In India

Pathaan became the first Bollywood film to enter the Rs 500 crore club and it beat Baahubali 2 to become an all time grosser for the Hindi language. Not too long after, Gadar 2, despite a clash with OMG 2, not just entered the Rs 500 crore club but also crossed the collections of Pathaan to become yet another all time grosser in Hindi. Gadar 2’s record lasted just a day as Jawan mania gripped the nation. Animal, despite a clash with Sam Bahadur, and with an A-rating, became the fourth Bollywood film to net Rs 500 crore in Hindi. Stree 2 is the newest addition to the list of Bollywood films to net Rs 500 crore in Hindi. The film clashed with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa but from the opening day itself, it decimated the two competing films and set new records. Stree 2 is currently the highest grossing Bollywood film and the most profitable too.

Naga Chaitanya Samantha slam ministerâs remarks on their divorce

Top Telugu stars, including Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, have slammed Telangana Minister Konda Surekha’s remarks on their divorce. The Minister linked Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao with the divorce of the actors. Surekha said, “KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N-convention centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce.”

Chaitanya released a statement that called out the baseless and completely ridiculous take on the matter. He said, “The decision of divorce is easily one of the most painful and unfortunate life decisions one has to make. After a lot of thought, a mutual decision was made by me and my former spouse to part ways.”
The statement added, “Today, the claim made by Minister Konda Surekha garu is not only false, it is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, too, took to her social media handle to react to the statement. She wrote, “To be a woman, to come out and work, to survive in a glamorous industry where women are more often than not treated as props, to fall in love & to fall out of love, to still stand up and fight… It takes a lot of courage and strength. Konda Surekha Garu, I am proud of what this journey turned me into—please don’t trivialise it. I hope you realise that your words carry significant weight as a minister. I implore you to be responsible and respectful of individuals’ privacy.”

Chay’s parents Nagarjuna Akkineni and Amala Akkineni and his actor-brother Akhil Akkineni, too, reacted to the statements made by Surekha. While Nagarjuna asked Surekha to withdraw her comments immediately, Akhil called her a sociopath.
