Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu was recently spotted at a launch event in Hyderabad today. A video from the event has since gone viral, showing the actor struggling to make her way to her car as she was surrounded by an overwhelming crowd of fans and photographers. Samantha was seen surrounded by security who struggled with the huge crowd at the event.

However, the sheer number of people made it difficult for her to exit smoothly, with security personnel stepping in to clear a path. The incident once again highlighted Samantha’s massive popularity and the frenzy she attracts at public events.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is next expected to appear in a lead role in the web series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom. The show is said to be a six-episode venture with Aditya Roy Kapur as her co-lead. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, the series is based on a Marathi short story titled Vidushak by GA Kulkarni. Samantha recently confirmed that her next film as a lead will be the Telugu movie Maa Inti Bangaram, which will be directed by Nandini Reddy.

The current last month of 2025 saw the release of spy action thriller Dhurandhar. Helmed by filmmaker Aditya Dhar, the movie stars Ranveer Singh in the lead and is supported by Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, among others. The film continues to wow audiences across the world. The entire film industry, fans, and critics continue to heap praise on Dhurandhar. And now, veteran actor Mukesh Khanna has also hailed Ranveer Singh for the same.

The Shaktimaan star Mukesh Khanna recently highly appreciated Ranveer Singh’s performance. In a video uploaded on his YouTube channel, Khanna said, “I would like to praise this film’s hero Ranveer Singh. Now you will cross question me by saying that you have disapproved him for the role of Shaktimaan. However, even if I have denied him, he remains one of the best actors. I have always maintained this stance. His infectious energy and courage are visible in the film.” Khanna further praised Singh adding that his “brooding” eyes suited the role of a spy from India navigating life in Pakistan and gradually becoming a gang member by gaining sympathy and saving the leaders’ son.

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar continues its impressive run at the box office. The film’s total collection currently stands at approximately Rs 492 crore, and it is expected to enter the Rs 500 crore net club on its seventeenth day. Trade experts predict that the film is on track to cross Rs 700 crore net, with the potential to overtake Pushpa 2 (Hindi) as the highest-grossing Hindi film domestically.

With Rs. 38.50 crore approx GROSS, Dhurandhar took its first daily collection record in India for “Biggest 3rd Saturday”, overtaking Baahubali: The Conclusion. 

This is not just the first one for Dhurandhar but also the first for Bollywood this early in the run, as almost all of the records until now are held by pan-India films like Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2 and KGF 2, which collected well across multiple languages. The next one for Bollywood comes in the fourth week, from Chaava, which was made possible by the release of the Telugu version in that week.

Below is the list of daily collection record holders. The first couple of weeks are records on the initial strength of those films, with Pushpa 2 getting some of them, and then it’s Baahubali’s domination. In later weeks, some holidays may prop up a film, and there we have KGF 2 getting a record due to the Eid holiday and Pushpa 2 getting from the Christmas & New Year’s Day holiday. Finally, in the end, it’s Kantara, which expanded to other languages later in the run.

Dhurandhar right now has just one day to its name, but three weeks from now, the bottom half of this list will probably be all Dhurandhar.
