Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, India’s second astronaut, returned home after successfully completing Nasa’s Axiom-4 mission, landing in India on Sunday. He was greeted by Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, along with his wife, Kamna Shukla. Shukla’s mission, which included 18 days on the ISS, provides valuable experience for India’s Gaganyaan program.
The Centre has strongly criticized the Supreme Court’s ruling on deadlines for presidential and gubernatorial assent to bills, arguing it unconstitutionally infringes on the powers of these high offices. The government contends that judicial review of assent procedures could destabilize the balance of power among the legislature, executive, and judiciary.
