Excise case: ED ready with plan to fast-track Kejriwal’s trial, hopes for verdict in a year
The Enforcement Directorate, backed by the Delhi high court’s endorsement of its money laundering probe against chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, is poised to expedite the trial process in the liquor scam case, aiming for a verdict by March 2025. The process of framing charges, that will involve recording statements of witnesses and their cross-examination, is expected to be completed in the next 2-3 months.
