A woman who had been battling for life for nine months after reportedly being injected with mercury by her husband has died in Karnataka’s Attibele, nearly 28 km from Bengaluru.

A 31-year-old man allegedly duped two women of around Rs 11 lakh in Mumbai by claiming to be a “descendant” of Prophet Mohammad and promising to double their gold jewellery and increase cash flow in their home, police said on Monday.
