In December of last year, five friends, including siblings, took a memorable photograph at a village wedding in Bahraich, UP. Now, ten months later, two of them, Shivkumar Gautam and Dharmaraj Kashyap, have been implicated in the murder of Baba Siddique in Mumbai, with Dharmaraj arrested and Shivkumar still at large.

The seat-sharing formula for Maharashtra’s assembly polls has not been finalized by either MVA or Mahayuti due to lack of consensus. The MVA has agreed on 230 candidates and expects to finalize the rest soon. Mahayuti is also close to a resolution.
