‘I was warned about challenges’: Did you know Masaba Gupta once wanted to ‘freeze her eggs’ and mom Neena changed her mind?

Celebrity fashion designer, actress Masaba Gupta is expecting her first child with husband, actor Satyadeep Mishra. Masaba often shares glimpses of her pregnancy phase on social media while flaunting her baby bump. The Masaba Masaba actress recently got candid about her motherhood journey in which she made a revelation about considering to freeze her eggs in real life. She discussed the challenges with her mom, veteran actress Neena Gupta and ended up changing her mind.

During the latest interview with Harper Bazaar, Masaba Gupta shared her experience of considering freezing her eggs before she became pregnant with her baby. Masaba shared that she changed her mind after the actress discussed its process with her mom, Neena Gupta. Neena informed her about the challenges and physical demands attached to it.

“I was warned about the challenges, including injections and downtime, so I decided to take a break,” the mom-to-be said.

Masaba added that she was later planning to revisit the option, however, the designer discovered her pregnancy on an unexpected note.

She felt intense pressure from society to find a partner and secure her maternal future, the portal added. This happened after Masaba’s divorce from her former husband, producer Madhu Mantena. She was also shooting for Masaba Masaba Season 2 back then.

In an episode of Masaba Masaba, the actress spoke about her plans to freeze her eggs so that she could have her children afterwards, even without a partner. Remember?

Speaking about its impact on the audience, Masaba shared that she has witnessed many women being encouraged to freeze their eggs after watching her character talking about it on the show.

In the same interview, the 34-year-old celebrity designer also shed light on how people perceive motherhood. She stressed that people often get “negative” about the life of a mother going into the transformation phase. 

Masaba expressed that having a baby means embracing the change in your life and that is the whole point of welcoming the child.

Born to actress Neena Gupta and West Indies former cricketer Vivian Richards, Masaba Gupta has also worked in MTV Supermodel of the Year and Modern Love: Mumbai. She tied the knot with Satyadeep in 2023.

A while ago, on August 11, the alleged celebrity couple was again spotted in Mumbai. What made the internet go gaga was the way they came out of the venue, hand-in-hand.

As for the Humshakals actress, she looked effortlessly stylish in her comfy OOTN. For their night out, Tamannaah Bhatia wore comfortable black pants paired with a white top and a long denim jacket. With white sneakers, gold jewelry, and her blow-dried hair left open, she exited the place with her B-town boyfriend.

Whenever the couple is spotted together, at events or otherwise, the internet goes all out. Watching netizen’s reaction, the Gully Boy actor was in shock. Hence, during an interview with Mashable India, Vijay spoke about people’s interest in his relationship with Tamannaah.

He told the publication, “I was shocked to learn that people were taking an interest in his dating life… Initially, I felt that it was bigger news than my film being released.” Meanwhile, on the work front, the Jaane Jaan actor will be next seen in his upcoming Hindi film, Ul Jalool Ishq, with Fatima Sana Shaikh. He is also working on the Tamil film, currently titled Suriya43.

As for Tamannaah Bhatia, she is gearing up for the release of Nikkhil Advani’s action drama film Vedaa. The film also stars John Abraham, Sharvari, and Abhishek Banerjee and is scheduled to be released on August 15, 2024.

Former actress Zaira Wasim was recently at a café in Jammu and Kashmir wherein she ordered a pie to enjoy. But unlike what she expected, the dessert left a bitter taste in her mouth. A while ago, she took to her social media and expressed her concern upon finding mild in her pie.

The clip gives a closer look at the piece of food item bought from a local café in Srinagar. In the caption, Zaira Wasim penned, “People, check twice before you consume stuff from local bakeries. Mold in the pie.”

The Dangal actress might have worked for a brief period in the Hindi film industry. However, the three movies in which she showcased her talent received several accolades and appreciation from the audience and critics alike.

She made her film debut with the biographical sports film, Dangal alongside actors like Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Suhani Bhatnagar, Sakshi Tanwar, and Aparshakti Khurana. At the 64th National Film Awards, Zaira won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role as the younger version of wrestler Geeta Phogat.

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, the former actress shared that her father had no clue when she won a National Award. “It took me 2 hours to explain what a National Award is and he still did not think it was a big thing. But then when I was actually there, receiving it, that’s when my parents were really proud,” she told us.

The following year, in 2017, she starred again with Mr Perfectionist in the musical drama film titled Secret Superstar. The movie, which highlighted several social issues, was positively received by cinema lovers. Then came her last movie, The Sky Is Pink, with Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. In the emotional biographical film, Wasim played the role of Aisha Chaudhary, a girl who suffered from a severe ailment.

The 2019 movie marked her last project in Bollywood soon after which she announced her retirement from the film industry citing religious reasons. She even requested her fans to pull out all her pictures from social media and help her start a new chapter.
