Halsey’s empathetic words on Liam Payne’s death will leave you in tears. The singer took to Tumblr to share her reflections on the former One Direction member’s demise on October 16 at 31 years of age. As the world reels in the shock of Payne’s death due to severe injuries sustained from falling off the third floor of his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, tributes from his peers have started to pour in.

On October 17th, a day after Liam’s demise, the Colors hitmaker posted her rawest thoughts on Tumblr, which many fans could relate to. Looking back at her years as a patient devoted One Direction Fan, she found it unbearable to lose someone she adored as a teenage girl and then met as an artist.

They wrote, “I loved one direction with an all-consuming force when i was younger. it hurts deeply to mourn someone you were a massive fan of as a teenager, and became a peer of as an adult.”

The Lilith singer went on to describe how grief is rather more of a broad concept and most people view it differently. She noted that the sadness that often comes from the loss or absence of a person isn’t as much about the person as it is about the memories and emotions that the person evokes. Many of the 1D fans could relate to these thoughts and the Without Me singer said she saw where they were coming from.

Liam Payne’s One Direction bandmates are remembering him as an exceptional artist with great songwriting prowess and a strong head on his shoulders. After the now-defunct British pop band released a joint statement mourning the loss of their “brother,” each member of the five-piece group took to their social media accounts to share individual tributes, with some addressing their messages directly to Payne. Louis Tomlinson, one of the remaining 1D stars, shared a heartfelt tribute to Payne on Instagram and followed it with additional memories in the Stories section of the platform.

Tomlinson shared two Instagram stories following his post. The first story featured a black-and-white collage of the duo’s moments on stage, capturing scenes of Liam hugging, smiling, and throwing his hands up in the air as they performed together. The second story, in color, showed a version of one of the pictures from the previous story, where he and Payne faced each other with their hands above their heads as the latter drenched them in what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage.

“This picture summed up our relationship. I love you. I’ll always be your big brother,” Tomlinson wrote in the caption of his story.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has achieved remarkable success in Bollywood, captivating viewers with his versatile performances. Recently, he spoke about having an innate sense of humor, but noted that it’s often better to not have it, as people have become very sensitive. He admitted that, like most actors, he failed at comedy because it’s quite challenging.

Recently, during an interview with the Locarno Film Festival for their YouTube channel, Shah Rukh Khan discussed his natural sense of humor. He acknowledged that while he has the ability to make others laugh, it often happens at less suitable moments. He also shared that his team frequently advises him to hold back, as his humor might not always be understood by everyone.

However, the actor expressed concern about being seen as politically incorrect, given the current climate where people are easily offended and it’s hard to predict what might upset them. As a result, he chooses to restrain himself. He mentioned that with heightened sensitivity today, it’s often wiser to avoid humor altogether to prevent misunderstandings.

“Now people have become very sensitive. You say something, and everybody, somebody gets disturbed. It’s better to not have a sense of humour,” the Pathaan actor said. 

Shah Rukh Khan also acknowledged that he finds comedy particularly challenging, even admitting that he hasn’t succeeded in mastering it. He considers it one of the most demanding aspects of acting, describing it as a ‘serious business’ where many actors, including himself, have struggled to excel. He said, “It’s the one that there’s most actors failed. It’s where I have failed.”

On the professional front, SRK’s most recent appearance was in the 2023 film Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, where he shared the screen with Taapsee Pannu. Up next, he is preparing for the lead role in Sujoy Ghosh’s action thriller King, which features his daughter, Suhana Khan, alongside him.

The film, also starring Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma, is being produced by Siddharth Anand and is slated for an Eid 2026 release. Besides this, he will make a special appearance in Stardom, the debut series by his son, Aryan Khan.
