‘Ran Into Him By Chance’: Liam Payne Fan Recalls Last Encounter With 1D Alum At Niall Horan’s Concert Days Before His Passing

Liam Payne’s sudden death has been one of the most shocking events of this year. His fans are grieving his passing globally. However, there were some fans got a chance to interact with him days before his death as he attended his former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert.

Noelia, a fan of Payne, conversed with People magazine about the encounters she had when the singer was in Buenos Aires. She told the outlet, “I ran into him by chance. I had found out on Twitter that he was here for Niall’s show.”

Noelia shared that they clicked pictures together. She said that she waited for the late singer to approach them, and they took photos with all the fans. She added that the One Direction alum spoke with them, hugged, and cracked jokes as well.

For the unversed, the Strip That Down singer attended Horan’s show at the Movistar Arena on October 2. Noelia recalled that he waved, danced, and cheered at the location.

She said that when Horan began singing one of their band’s tracks, everybody looked at Payne, who seemed like he was enjoying himself. According to Pop Crave, videos and photos of the late vocalist at the concert, captured by the attendees, have been going viral online.

Noelia further revealed to People magazine that the fans came to the hotel, and there he captured pictures with everybody. She continued that there was nothing that was not usual or “strange” about his behavior.

But she did mention that the Bedroom Floor singer was “asked to leave the hotel because fans were constantly gathering at the door, bothering other guests.” As per the outlet, Payne stayed at an apartment that Noelia said may have been of his friend’s.

She said that during his stay there, he went out on dinner and captured photos with fans who waited outside, and he was open to doing so with “full of love.”

Payne passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. As per the publication, he fell from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, where he was staying at the time, situated in Buenos Aires.

Liam Payne’s shocking death has left the world grief-stricken. A guest at the Hotel CasaSur in Buenos Aires has shared horrifying details about the moments before he died. Unfortunately, the singer passed away at the age of just 31 after falling from the third floor of his hotel room.

The fellow hotel guest claimed in an interview with People that there was a lot of commotion coming from Payne’s room moments before he allegedly jumped off the balcony. Initially, the guest took the incredibly loud and violent noise for construction work as it resembled banging and heavy lifting.

Reportedly, there were several hotel employees running in and out of Payne’s room at around 4:30 P.M. Police appeared at the location soon after five, and Payne was confirmed dead a short time later.

Pablo Policicchio, the Buenos Aires Security Ministry’s communications director, confirmed that Payne had jumped from his balcony at the hotel he was checked in during his 2-week-long stay in Argentina.

The guest said, “I heard a really loud, violent scream.” The person stated that he did not pay much attention to it until he heard police sirens upon getting down the elevator. The witness claimed that he initially heard loud noises and violent screams and then police sirens. No one realized how serious the incident was until they got off the lift and saw several police vehicles on the street.

Later, the National Criminal and the Correctional Prosecutor’s Office revealed to the outlet that the death of Payne was due to multiple traumas sustained both internally and externally. The completion of the post-mortem detailed the presence of twenty-five distinct signs of impact with a hard object indicative of a fall from a great height. The sustaining injuries, including a major head injury and severe loss of blood, contributed to his instant demise at the site of the fall.

Further reports obtained from a translation for the relayed 911 calls, as heard in news reports from Sky News and divested by the BBC, noted consternation raised by the chief receptionist at the hotel who had interacted with the deceased several times over, before death.

According to the employee, Liam Payne was under the influence of some drugs or alcohol and stood a chance of injury. The receptionist expressed concern that the history singer had already started damaging the room before his death. As per the outlet, Payne’s toxicology report is still pending.

Despite numerous Israeli airstrikes targeting Hamas leadership, Sinwar managed to survive underground for months in the maze of tunnels beneath Gaza.

Here’s a look at the figures who may lead Hamas:

Mahmoud al-Zahar

Mahmoud al-Zahar, one of Hamas’s founding members is a frontrunner to succeed Sinwar. Known for his hardline stance, even by Hamas’s standards, al-Zahar was instrumental in shaping the group’s ideological framework, which focuses on both militant resistance against Israel and Islamist governance in Gaza. Al-Zahar also played a crucial role in the group’s rise to power following the 2006 Palestinian legislative election and served as its first foreign minister.

Despite surviving multiple Israeli assassination attempts – in 1992 and again in 2003 – al-Zahar remains a key figure in Hamas’s political structure.

Abu Marzouk was once the head of Hamas’s political bureau and has long been involved in its organisational and financial operations, including support for militant activities.

Khalil al-Hayya

Khalil al-Hayya is a prominent figure within Hamas’s political bureau, currently based in Qatar, and has played a key role in cease-fire negotiations in previous conflicts. Al-Hayya’s leadership could be seen as a pragmatic choice for the group, especially if Hamas seeks to negotiate an end to the current war in Gaza. His involvement in the 2014 cease-fire talks with Israel showcased his ability to engage in high-level negotiations, and his leadership may offer a more diplomatic route for Hamas.

Khaled Mashal

Khaled Mashal, who led Hamas for over a decade from 2006 until 2017, remains a respected figure within the group, though he has fallen out of favour with some key factions. During his leadership, Mashal oversaw some of Hamas’s most significant military and political milestones. However, his public opposition to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad during the Syrian civil war strained relations with Iran, Hamas’s major backer.

Now based in Qatar, Mashal may still have influence.
