Romance is brewing between actress Janhvi Kapoor and her beau Shikhar Pahariya. Shikhar often grabs the headlines with Janhvi for their public appearances, whether gracing her film screenings or attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding with the actress. They also keep showering love on each other through social media. On August 10, Shikhar dropped a new set of his horse-riding pictures on Instagram, and Janhvi is in awe of them. Her sister, Khushi Kapoor, and dad, Boney Kapoor, also showered love on them.

In the first picture posted by Janhvi Kapoor‘s beau, Shikhar Pahariya, he can be seen riding a brown horse. The second photo shows him caressing the horse as they share a sweet bond. Shikhar is sporting an icy blue shirt with white trousers. He is also wearing long black boots in the snaps.

Shikhar accompanied his post with a caption, “A horse gallops with his lungs, perseveres with his heart, and wins with his character.”

Back in 2018, Imtiaz Ali teamed up with Ekta Kapoor on an epic tale of romance, Laila Majnu, featuring Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri in lead. The Sajid Ali directorial didn’t do well at the cinema halls and was termed a disaster with lifetime box office of Rs 2.18 crore. Over the years, the film was consumed by the audience on digital platforms and the content found appreciation from a section of audience. Cut to 2024, post the success of Rockstar in its re-release, Imtiaz Ali and team decided to partner with national chains for the re-release of Laila Majnu.

The film first arrived at one-cinema hall in Kashmir and met an overwhelming response from the locals. Soon after, the makers expanded the release to other multiplexes in India and to everyone’s surprise, the film has found takers on the big screen 6 years after its original release. According to our tracking, Laila Majnu took an opening of Rs 30 Lakh on August 10, and saw a 110 percent jump to collect Rs 70 Lakh on Saturday.

The two-day total of this Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri starrer stands at Rs 1.00 crore, and the pre-sales for Sunday indicates another spike in business on the third day. The opening weekend for the re-release of Laila Majnu is expected to be around the Rs 2.00 crore mark, and this is a historic feat, as the 3-day business in its re-release would be higher than the 3-day business in its original release in 2018. For those unaware, Laila Majnu collected Rs 1.51 crore in 3-days back in 2018.

Laila Majnu probably might be the first film in the history of Hindi Cinema to score bigger numbers in re-release, than the original release, though the historians of cinema would know better about this feat as re-releases were big back in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The Sajid Ali directorial, written by Imtiaz Ali, is expected to cross the lifetime collections of its original run (Rs 2.18 crore) by Monday and record a reasonable run till the arrival of Independence Day releases on August 15.

There will be a drop in showcasing through the next week, but the initial response suggests that the film could just get back to the cinema halls again once the euphoria of Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein, and Vedaa settles down, as there are no significant releases for over a month post the release of the three big-star-cast films. The Masaba Masaba actress recently got candid about her motherhood journey in which she made a revelation about considering to freeze her eggs in real life. She discussed the challenges with her mom, veteran actress Neena Gupta and ended up changing her mind.

During the latest interview with Harper Bazaar, Masaba Gupta shared her experience of considering freezing her eggs before she became pregnant with her baby. Masaba shared that she changed her mind after the actress discussed its process with her mom, Neena Gupta. Neena informed her about the challenges and physical demands attached to it.

“I was warned about the challenges, including injections and downtime, so I decided to take a break,” the mom-to-be said.

Masaba added that she was later planning to revisit the option, however, the designer discovered her pregnancy on an unexpected note.

She felt intense pressure from society to find a partner and secure her maternal future, the portal added. This happened after Masaba’s divorce from her former husband, producer Madhu Mantena. She was also shooting for Masaba Masaba Season 2 back then.

In an episode of Masaba Masaba, the actress spoke about her plans to freeze her eggs so that she could have her children afterwards, even without a partner. Remember?

Speaking about its impact on the audience, Masaba shared that she has witnessed many women being encouraged to freeze their eggs after watching her character talking about it on the show.

In the same interview, the 34-year-old celebrity designer also shed light on how people perceive motherhood. She stressed that people often get “negative” about the life of a mother going into the transformation phase. 

Masaba expressed that having a baby means embracing the change in your life and that is the whole point of welcoming the child.

Born to actress Neena Gupta and West Indies former cricketer Vivian Richards, Masaba Gupta has also worked in MTV Supermodel of the Year and Modern Love: Mumbai. She tied the knot with Satyadeep in 2023.
