After winning hearts, Kunal Kemmu’s much-loved family comedy Single Papa has officially been renewed for a second season. The series is all set to return with bigger emotions, louder laughs, and even more lovable chaos from the Gehlot household. Headlined by Kunal in his widely celebrated role as Gaurav Gehlot, Single Papa struck a powerful chord with viewers through its warm, honest, and often hilarious portrayal of a single father navigating parenthood, family dynamics, and the everyday absurdities of life./p

Adding to its cultural impact, Single Papa was acknowledged by the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) of India for its sensitive and responsible depiction of the adoption process, positioning the series as a positive reference point for informed and ethical adoption practices.

The show’s charm was further elevated by its stellar ensemble cast, including Prajakta Koli, Manoj Pahwa, Ayesha Raza, Neha Dhupia, Suhail Nayyar, Dayanand Shetty, Aisha Ahmed, and Isha Talwar, among others.

Created and co-produced by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani, with Shashank Khaitan serving as the executive producer, and directing alongside Hitesh Kewalya and Neeraj Udhwani, the series is produced by Aditya Pittie and Samar Khan under the Juggernaut Productions banner.

Talking about the show, Khaitan said, “Single Papa was always conceived as a long-form, family-first story that could grow with its characters. Seeing audiences connect so deeply with baby Amul, Gaurav and the Gehlots only reinforces our belief that their story was never meant to end with a single chapter. Shraddha Kapoor is starting 2026 with an abundance of work and no scheduled breaks. She is quickly transitioning from one film project to another, and is currently completing the filming for Eetha, directed by Laxman Utekar. She has been filming for several months.

According to a report from Mid Day, Shraddha Kapoor is expected to transition to her next film, Naagin, shortly after completing Eetha in March. The filming for Naagin is scheduled to start in April, which suggests less of a breather for Shraddha between these two projects.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Shraddha plays Vithabai Narayangaonkar, a renowned Tamasha and Lavani performer in Eetha. According to earlier reports, Shraddha Kapoor underwent rigorous physical training for this exceptionally demanding role, which requires strong dance movements and deep emotional expression. During filming, Shraddha sustained an injury while performing a dance sequence, which temporarily paused filming. The team now anticipates completing the film by the end of March, and the producers are confident that the schedule will be met in a timely manner.

After her role in Eetha, Shraddha Kapoor is set to explore a different genre as she will be starring in the fantasy film Naagin. The production team has expressed a desire for special attention to detail, using both visual effects and casting. With Shraddha’s casting now confirmed, the team plans to proceed with the filming soon. This film will feature Shraddha in a role that involves shape shifting.

Recently, Shraddha was seen at a hospital in Mumbai alongside her father, Shakti Kapoor. On the work front, Shraddha’s most recent appearance was in Stree 2 in 2024, where she co-starred with Rajkummar Rao, a film that achieved huge success.

The ensemble cast for Stree 2 also included Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles. Akshay Kumar made a brief cameo in the film and was eventually hinted at as a potential antagonist in the post-credits’ scene, suggesting further appearances in future movies of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.
