Sandip Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College, was sent to eight days’ CBI custody for graft and financial irregularities. He is believed to be part of a larger nexus. Along with three others, Ghosh faces multiple charges including cheating and criminal conspiracy. Public outrage was evident during court proceedings.
