Hollywood actress Jennifer Lopez, better known as JLo by her fans, is one of the most well-known actresses of all time, famous for her iconic roles, striking moves, and stunning looks, thanks to her Puerto Rican heritage, and for being a brand in herself. What’s more interesting is how her love life has been as big as her star status.

The Atlas actress once again married actor Ben Affleck in 2022 in Georgia. The couple eloped and tied the knot officially in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 16, 2022, making this wedding their second.

Lopez was dressed in a stunning white gown by Ralph Lauren, made in Italy. The groom wore a matching black and white tuxedo. The couple had previously dated from 2002 to 2004 and were engaged earlier, but they called it off. In 2021, they rekindled their relationship.

The couple once again grabbed the spotlight earlier this year as rumors swirled about tension in her marriage with Ben Affleck in the tabloids. “They’re still living separately,” a source close to Lopez told PEOPLE a few months ago. “She’s back in L.A. for tour rehearsals. She seems okay. She’s very focused on work.”

However, things clearly did not improve between the two, as in August 2024, Lopez finally filed for divorce on the 20th of the month without a lawyer.

“She tried really hard to make things work and is heartbroken,” says the insider. “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been,” said a source according to reports from PEOPLE.

Coming to their family dynamics, while the duo did not have any children together, they have a blended family that includes Max and Emme, the 16-year-old twins Lopez shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, the kids Affleck shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Moreover, in her divorce filing, Lopez listed the couple’s date of separation as April 26, 2024, as reported by PEOPLE. Previously, in June 2024, PEOPLE reported (around the same time when TMZ spotted Lopez enjoying a solo trip in Italy) that the duo was reportedly selling their $60 million Beverly Hills, California home.

They purchased the luxurious villa in cash for $60.85 million in May 2023 and are reportedly using realtor Santiago Arana from The Agency to sell the home, requesting $65 million.

‘Kids Are A Top Priority’ For Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Amid Divorce Filing, Source Reveals

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have always focused on the value of family, and despite their recent divorce filing, their children remain their top priority. Lopez recently filed for divorce from Affleck after more than two years of marriage, but both stars are determined to keep their blended family a priority as per PEOPLE.

On Tuesday, August 20, multiple sources confirmed that Jennifer Lopez had filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. The couple, who legally married in July 2022, has been navigating their relationship for years, dating back to their first romance in 2003.

The divorce filing specified April 26 as the official separation date. Despite the split, sources close to the couple insist that their five children are still their top priority.

A source told PEOPLE that, “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.” Lopez and her ex-husband Marc Anthony have 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, while Affleck has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.

Lopez has continued to spend time with Affleck’s children despite the divorce filing’s stated separation date. Lopez was spotted on Sunday, August 11, visiting Affleck’s Brentwood rental home. During her visit, she took Affleck’s son, Samuel, to the mall.

Lopez and Affleck’s children formed a close bond earlier this summer. Lopez and Affleck attended Samuel’s graduation ceremony and party in June. The couple also attended one of Samuel’s basketball games earlier that month.

In July, Lopez was seen walking arm in arm with Violet in the Hamptons. A source told PEOPLE that the two “really enjoy each other’s company” and “seem so happy to be spending this time together.” Violet was also spotted wearing a pink-and-white Dolce & Gabbana dress on August 9, which appeared to be the same one Lopez wore on a date night with Affleck.

Despite their separation, Lopez and Affleck have made it clear that their children are their top priority. According to a source, “Lopez tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken.” Her love for the children, however, has remained constant. Lopez attended Violet’s high school graduation in May, alongside Affleck, Garner, and their blended families.

Lopez used Affleck’s 52nd birthday, on Thursday, August 15, to show her love for their blended family. On that day, Lopez and Garner paid Affleck a visit at his Brentwood rental home.

Jay Shah To Be Named ICC Chairman, Will Replace Greg Barclay

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah is all set to replace the incumbent Greg Barclay as the new chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), sources have confirmed to NDTV. Barclay told ICC directors, including Cricket Australia’s chair Mike Baird, that he has no intention of running for the post, for the third tirm during a video conference. His decision comes after being informed of Jay Shah’s intentions to replace him in November. Shah has the backing of cricket boards from England and Australia, and hence, has the numbers to do be crowned the as the chief of the ICC.

Jagmohan Dalmiya (1997 to 200) and Sharad Pawar (2010-2012) are the only two Indians who have held the position of ICC’s chief in the past. Shah, who is also the son of India’s home minister Amit Shah, will become the third to do so when he officially replaces Barclay in November.

“ICC chair Greg Barclay confirmed to the board that he will not stand for a third term and will step down from the post when his current tenure finishes at the end of November. Barclay was appointed as the independent ICC chair in November 2020, before being re-elected in 2022,” an ICC spokesperson told The Age.

“Current directors are now required to put forward nominations for the next chair by 27 August 2024 and if there is more than one candidate, an election will be held with the term of the new chair commencing on 1 December 2024.”

As per ICC rules, the chairman’s election comprises of 16 votes and now a simple majority of nine votes is required (51%) for the winner. Earlier, to become the chairman, the incumbent needed to have two-third majority.

He enjoys a lot of goodwill with most of the 16 voting members. Currently, Shah has another one year left as the BCCI secretary before going on a mandatory cooling off period of three years from October, 2025.

As per the BCCI constitution approved by the Supreme Court, an office bearer can stay for six before he needs to go for a cooling off of three years. In all, a person can stay in office for a cumulative period of 18 years, — nine in state association and nine in BCCI.

If Shah decides to move to ICC with a year of his secretaryship still left, he will have four years left in the BCCI.

At 35, he will become the youngest chairman in the history of ICC.
