The FBI, in collaboration with local law enforcement, apprehended Pavittar Singh Batala, a fugitive linked to Babbar Khalsa International, in California. The arrest, part of ‘Summer Heat’ initiative, also led to the capture of seven others and the seizure of a significant cache of weapons and ammunition. Batala faces charges related to organized crime, with Indian agencies seeking his extradition.
