Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil are accused of murdering Muskan’s husband, Saurabh Rajput, as a part of an elaborate and grisly plan involving occult practices. Sahil’s influence over Muskan and his obsession with the occult allegedly led her to commit the murder, believing it would promise them a new life together.

The brutal physical assault took place in Thrikkakara police station limits and already a case has been registered against him in connection with this, said a police officer.

The accused was also arrested earlier by Tamil Nadu police for throwing petrol bombs while protesting over the ban on PFI in Mettupalayam, Coimbatore, causing damage to public and private property
