In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actor opened up about reuniting with Ananya and said, “We had a blast shooting it, and that vibe translates on screen. Reuniting with Ananya was like picking up where we left off; she was a total live-wire on set. She’s going to surprise everyone. I’m sure the audience will enjoy our chemistry in this fun, refreshing rom-com as Ray-Rumi and all the masti the film brings.”

The makers released the trailer for Ikkis, giving a glimpse into the remarkable life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. The teaser features Agastya Nanda playing a heroic soldier, showing scenes of tank battles, intense combat, and the emotional toll of war.
The trailer starts with Agastya Nanda saying that the next recipient of the Param Vir Chakra will be from his regiment. It then shows his determination and commitment as he diligently trains for an additional two hours each day.
The trailer also offers a glimpse into his romantic life, set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak war. The promo then transitions to a touching moment where Arun informs his mother of his deployment to the battlefield, and she encourages him to fight with the courage of a lion. Veteran actor Dharmendra plays Arun’s grandfather, sharing stories of bravery from his own experiences and showing how young Arun would listen intently to his war stories.
Jaideep Ahlawat appears as a Pakistani army officer, acknowledging to Dharmendra that Arun Khetarpal’s legacy extends beyond India and is honoured even in Pakistan. The film is directed by National Award–winning director Sriram Raghavan.
Ikkis is an intense war biopic that portrays the courageous life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who holds the distinction of being India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. Against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak War, the film follows Arun’s path from his initial military training to the battlefield, highlighting his bravery, love for his country, and the ultimate sacrifice he made at the young age of 21.
Apart from exploring the intensity of war and the human spirit through the heroics, Ikkis also captures the personal relationships and emotional connections in the family. Directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Maddock Films, the film also features veteran actor Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Agastya in key roles.
