Canadian police detained two men after a shooting in Ontario, with speculation arising that one might be Arshdeep Singh (Arsh Dalla), a designated terrorist and successor of slain Khalistan Tiger Force leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. While official confirmation is pending, Indian agencies are investigating Dalla’s alleged involvement.

Justice Sanjiv Khanna was sworn in as the 51st Chief Justice of India by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries were present. Justice Khanna, succeeding former CJI D Y Chandrachud, will serve a six-month term until May 1, 2025.
