Suraj Revanna, JD(S) MLC and brother of Prajwal Revanna, has been granted conditional bail by a Karnataka court in a sexual abuse case. The People’s Representative Court made this decision on Monday. Revanna was arrested by Hassan police on June 23, following allegations of sodomising a party worker. An FIR was lodged against Suraj Revanna at Holenarasipura police station on June 22 under Section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code.
The scammer, posing as a CBI officer, instructed the woman to make video calls and sent fraudulent photos of a police officer’s ID card through messaging apps.
