Kalki 2898 AD: Amitabh Bachchan apologises to Prabhas fans
Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and more will be released in a matter of days. Ahead of the premiere, the cast got together for an interview during which Big B broke down his fight sequences with Prabhas in the film.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama and Prabhas’ Bhairava are set to clash in Kalki 2898 AD. Amitabh has now apologised to fans for what his character does to Prabhas’ in the film. He shared, “When Nagi [Nag Ashwin] came to me to talk about the project, he just brought a picture of what my character is going to look like and what Prabhas is going to look like. And I was this huge guy who was shoving off ‘The Prabhas.’”
He added, “All the fans of Prabhas, please excuse me. Mai haath jod ke maafi maang raha hoon. Don’t massacre me after you see what I do in the film.”
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is a sci-fi film with characters and arcs inspired by Hindu mythology. The film which also features Disha Patani and Saswata Chatterjee will release on June 27, 2024.
