EXCLUSIVE: Tikku Talsania recalls his first and last meeting with Dev Anand; says ‘he was warm and lovely’

Actor Tikku Talsania, who has worked in movies like Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Andaz Apna Apna, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Devdas, and others, has been in the Hindi film industry for decades. The seasoned actor recently called one of the greatest actors of Indian cinema, Dev Anand, a “warm and lovely” man.

In an exclusive Pinkvilla podcast, Tikku Talsania reminisced about his first meeting with the late veteran actor Dev Anand for a film. Tikku referred to him as one of the “most iconic” people he has ever met.

Talking about the memory, the Andaz Apna Apna actor shared that it was a beautiful moment and he will keep on cherishing the meeting forever. Tikku recalled that Dev Anand had invited him to visit his dubbing studio, and the former agreed.

The 70-year-old actor shared that he saw the Jewel Thief star sitting near the table in front of him inside a huge room. Tikku remembered that the legendary actor had a small tape recorder with him.

Tikku continued by saying that Dev was recording dialogues while mouthing the lines and added that he used to make films that way. “He was so warm and lovely and said, ‘What a beautiful industry we have; we get to see so many beautiful people,'” the Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa actor recalled.

In response, Tikku called his meeting with Dev Anand “the biggest thing” of his life and further praised him by saying that he was “wonderful.”

When asked whether Tikku Talsania got to work with him later on, the Devdas actor said he lost the chance. Tikku added that the late actor got sicker and that the film didn’t get made.

Tikku concluded by saying that it was his “first and last meeting” with Dev Anand.

It’s Official, Kamala Harris Is Democratic Candidate For US Election

US Vice President Kamala Harris effectively secured the Democratic party’s presidential nomination Friday, confirming her remarkable rise to party standard bearer in November’s showdown against Republican Donald Trump.

Kamala Harris was the sole candidate on the ballot for a five-day electronic vote of nearly 4,000 party convention delegates. She will be officially crowned at a Chicago convention later this month.

“I am honored to be the presumptive Democratic nominee for President of the United States,” Kamala Harris, 59, said on a phone-in to a party celebration after securing enough votes by the second day of the marathon vote.

In the two weeks since President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid, Kamala Harris has gained full control of the party.

No other Democrats stepped forward to challenge her elevation to the top of the ticket, making her confirmation as the first Black and South Asian woman ever to secure a major party’s nomination a formality.

The announcement came with Kamala Harris preparing to hit the campaign trail next week for a swing across seven crucial battleground states with her newly minted running mate — who is expected to be revealed within days.

The Democratic Party decided on a virtual nomination process — mirroring the pandemic-hit 2020 vote — because of Ohio’s August 7 deadline for major parties to submit the names of their certified candidates for the November election.

The virtual roll call marks the official beginning of the 2024 convention, although in practice the festivities really get going when thousands of party faithful descend on Chicago on August 19.

That will feature ceremonial votes for Kamala Harris and her running mate in what is expected to be a raucous celebration of her rise from state politics to the top of the ticket.

Trump’s White House bid was thrown into chaos on July 21 when Biden, 81, withdrew his candidacy, backing Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee.

The vice president has already smashed fundraising records, packed arenas and wiped out Trump’s polling leads over Biden, creating momentum that she hopes she can ride through the convention to the White House.

She is set to make her first public appearance with her running mate Tuesday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — a crucial swing state whose Democratic governor, Josh Shapiro, is among a handful candidates being vetted to potentially join the Kamala Harris ticket.

The swing will take Kamala Harris through all the “blue wall” states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, where she will seek to rebuild the coalition that carried Biden to victory in 2020.

But she will extend the tour to the much more racially diverse Sun Belt and southern states of Georgia, North Carolina Arizona, North Carolina and Nevada as she seeks to shore up the Black and Hispanic vote that had been peeling away from the Democrats.

How Did Cole Sprouse’s Role In Riverdale Affect His Brother Dylan Sprouse? Find Out As Elder Twin Spills Beans

Dylan Sprouse opens up about his twin brother, Cole Sprouse, and him getting into the role of Jughead in Riverdale. In conversation with Andy Cohen on his Sirius XM show, the elder twin shared that he knew what his brother was getting into after he signed the Netflix show.

Though the Beautiful Disaster actor is proud of what his brother has gained from such a major show, Sprouse claimed that it had an effect on the duo’s personal lives as he could not meet the Five Feet Apart actor as often.

When Cohen asked the actor if he ever thought that instead of Cole, he should have been a part of the series, Dylan responded that he had no regrets whatever. However, “I would say the biggest thing that sucked was that I just didn’t get to see my brother as often.” Apart from praising Cole and his role in the Netflix series, Sprouse revealed the dark side of his twin brother.

Speaking with Cohen, the Beautiful Wedding actor revealed, “I’m going to be real frank with you. I knew what he was getting into by signing up for a CW Network television show in Vancouver.”

To get the conversation going, the TV host added, “It was a lot of what you had been through before.” Sprouse further continued, “Totally. Except this is a moody, strange show that shoots mostly night shoots in a town that’s virtually dead. A ghost town. So he wasn’t a huge fan, realistically, of the time spent up there, even though he loves his cast and crew, and he loves everybody.”

“It was a tough shoot, man. I think anyone would say that,” Dylan concluded. After the completion of Riverdale, Cole Sprouse appeared in Lisa Frankenstein and Tony Dorfman’s I Wish You All the Best, along with Lena Dunham and Alexandra D’Addario. Meanwhile, Dylan Sprouse played the lead role in Beautiful Disaster and Beautiful Wedding. Currently, the elder twin is promoting his upcoming thriller film, The Duel.

In his personal life, the After actor married his partner and model, Barbara Palvin, in an intimate ceremony hosted in Hungary.

The Duel is out in the theaters.
