Captain Deepak Singh, 25, was killed in action during a mission in J&K’s Doda. He had lied to his mother, saying he was resting, while preparing for the mission. Commissioned in 2020, he was serving with Rashtriya Rifles. His family, preparing for his future wedding, mourns his loss but is proud of his sacrifice.

“Today, we are working on the first mission of the Gaganyaan called G1. The first unmanned mission. The status today is the rocket, the S200 stage, the L1, C32 stage are all at Satish Dhawan Space Centre,” Somanath said
