Lab analysis revealed foreign fats, including animal fats, in the ghee used for Tirupati laddu prasadam during the YSRC government’s tenure. The NDDB report mentioned possible false positives due to cow feeding conditions. TTD has blacklisted the former supplier and is now procuring ghee from Karnataka Milk Federation at a higher cost.

Only 12 adult cheetahs, 12 cubs now remain at the Kuno National Park. Eight more cheetahs will be imported by year-end to Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary.

In 2023, the KMF argued that it was selling ghee at Rs 400 per kg and was not able to sell it at low rates that other companies were offering to the TTD, thereby, deciding to not take part in the tender.
