The Election Commission of India is enhancing the electoral process through three major initiatives. These include electronic acquisition of death registration data for prompt deletion of deceased voters, a redesigned Voter Information Slip for improved user experience, and standard photo identity cards for Booth Level Officers to boost voter outreach and confidence.

Expressing concern over the increasing friction between institutions, Dhankhar said all constitutional bodies must perform their roles with due responsibility and mutual respect.

He added that the WAVES platform and the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) would bolster Mumbai’s status as a key player in the global creative ecosystem.
