Seven Indian fishermen were rescued by the Indian Coast Guard after being apprehended by a Pakistan Maritime Security Agency ship near the India-Pakistan Maritime Boundary. The fishermen were retrieved safely, but their fishing boat, Kal Bhairav, was damaged and sunk. A joint investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.

Despite the PMSA ship’s attempts to retreat, the ICG ship intercepted it and persuaded the PMSA to release the fishermen, an ICG official said.
