An explosion tore through Le Constellation bar in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana during New Year’s celebrations, killing several people and injuring others. Nearly 100 people were inside the popular tourist spot when the blast occurred shortly after midnight. Authorities have cordoned off the area and imposed a no-fly zone as emergency operations and investigations into the cause continue.

The pact that came into force on January 27, 1991, mandates the two countries to inform each other of nuclear installations on the first of January of every calendar year.
