Trinamool MP Moitra criticized BJP’s weakened position in Lok Sabha due to her expulsion, highlighting the government’s instability and emphasizing her party’s unified strength of 234 members. The Trinamool leader was making a reference to her expulsion from the 17th Lok Sabha over charges that she took bribes to ask questions and shared her parliamentary login details with others. Moitra was expelled after a discussion on the report of the Ethics Committee that held her guilty.

The weather agency said that June alone saw 181 heatwave days, the most in the month in 15 years. The matter will be heard by a single judge bench of Justice Neena Bansal Krishna.
