President Droupadi Murmu travelled from New Delhi to Mathura on Thursday morning aboard the Maharajas’ Express, one of the world’s most luxurious trains. The Indian Railways had deployed special coaches for her visit to Mathura.

The family feud over industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s approximately Rs 30,000 crore estate continued, with the Delhi High Court questioning his wife Priya Sachdev Kapur’s demand for a non-disclosure agreement to reveal her late husband’s assets.

Stressing that the country must become self-reliant, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that despite global uncertainties, India’s growth remains resilient and remarkable.
