Exclusive: Will Hrithik Roshan Be The New Hero of Don 3?

Our Krrish might be the new Don! After Ranveer Singh’s exit from Don 3, the makers have been searching for the perfect star to helm the lead role in Don 3. Our exclusive source has confirmed that it could be no one but Hrithik Roshan. Yes, you read that right! The actor even had a cameo in Don 2, when Shah Rukh Khan’s character disguised himself as Hrithik’c character in a crucial scene from the movie.

Don

It is not known if Farhan Akhtar and team are looking to incorporate the same in the new plot. But our birdie has confirmed that they are keen on exploring the angle of the War 2 actor becoming the new face of the highly-established franchise. Our source revealed, “Following Ranveer’s exit, Hrithik has emerged as a strong contender for the role. While discussions are still at a very early stage, it will be interesting to see whether Hrithik ultimately comes on board.”

The makers are also aware that the actor finalised must be someone well-established with a solid portfolio. After all, whoever leads the third film will be stepping into the shoes of Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, both of whom have previously played Don.

Amitabh Bachchan starrer Don had released in 1978. Shah Rukh Khan’s Don franchise has had two releases in 2006 and 2011 respectively.

For those unaware, Ranveer Singh had exited Don 3 following the success of Dhurandhar. Neither the makers nor the actor have confirmed the change yet, but many reports state that Ranveer is looking to start working on Jai Mehta’s Pralay now.

Don

It would be interesting to note if Hrithik lands the role of Don or the makers end up selecting a newcomer to carry forward the franchise’s legacy.

Imran Khan Reveals Aamir Khan Received Death Threats During Satyamev Jayate

Aamir Khan not only transformed Hindi cinema with his socially conscious films, but he also made a big impact across the nation with his television program, Satyamev Jayate. This talk show, broadcast between 2012 and 2014, addressed some of India’s most challenging issues, including female feticide, child sexual abuse, casteism, dowry, rape, and LGBTQ+ rights. The show’s influence was immediate and far-reaching, initiating discussions in homes throughout the country. However, this huge impact was not without its challenges.

Imran Khan, Aamir’s nephew, recently shared that the show received criticism from individuals who perceived its message as a threat. During his conversation on Unfiltered by Samdish, Imran mentioned that the disapproval extended beyond online outrage.

He said, “I have known Aamir my whole life. I have a base level of faith and trust that the choices he makes and the things he chooses to attach his time and energy to are made in good faith and with honesty.” He added, “His episode on female infanticide angered a lot of folks who issued death threats.”

Imran explained that such reactions were not isolated incidents, but rather parts of a broader pattern of intimidation. He said that many individuals have been attempting to intimidate Aamir Khan into leaving India for several years. He shared, “Mamu jaan bechare ko desh se bhagane ki koshish kar rahe hain kab se.”

Reflecting on the fear such threats are intended to instill, Imran added, “That is also part of the learning. It is part of an important message that we are all meant to learn: ‘Keep your head down. Zyada bolne ka nahi. Na teri ghar aa jayenge, aur ghar ko jalayenge.’ (Don’t talk too much. Otherwise, we’ll come to your house and burn it down)”

According to him, these experiences show how dissent is frequently discouraged through fear rather than discussion. Imran Khan, who has largely stayed away from acting for nearly a decade, is now preparing for a comeback with Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos, directed by Vir Das.
