Jr NTR’s Devara, his solo release 6 years after RRR, gets censor board certification; THESE four scenes snipped from film

Jr NTR’s highly anticipated release, Devara, has been building up considerable excitement amongst the audiences already. The project includes some prominent faces from across the film industry while the trailer of the Koratala Siva directorial has left fans intrigued as well. And now, days ahead of its release, Devara gets its censor board certification along with four important scenes from the film getting snipped.

As per an official press report issued by the makers of Devara, the film has finally gotten a U/A certification from the censor board, which means it is unrestricted for public viewing but with parental guidance for children under 12 years of age.

As quoted by Hindustan Times, the report stated, “Sparking a tidal wave of excitement, man of masses NTR Jr’s Devara: Part 1 (Telugu) has been given the green light to cast off, securing a U/A certificate from the censor board.”

Well, that’s not all to the matter. The censor board certification came along with a twist of imposing a cut to four different yet crucial scenes of the movie. Out of them, three were rather direct representations of violence, such as a character kicking his wife in the stomach, and another character kicking his mother.

The third scene gone under trim reportedly is a five-second shot of a dead character hanging through a sword, and thereafter sliding down through it. The final scene that has been axed includes the scene of Jr NTR riding on a shark.

The censor board has asked to add a disclaimer to the scene by informing that the shark is not real and is made up of CGI graphics, thereby not promoting acts of harm against animals.

For the unversed, Devara has finalized a long run time of 3 hours and 10 minutes, hinting at an unparalleled cinematic experience for the viewers.

Coming to the cast of the film, besides Jr NTR in the lead role, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady and Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. Other actors include Abhimanyu Singh, Shine Tom Chacko, Meka Srikanth, Chaithra Rai and others.

Ileana D’Cruz’s romantic birthday wish for Michael Dolan is proof she has a partner she can always lean on: ‘You make everything better…’

Ileana D’Cruz is quite active on social media. She often shares glimpses of her husband Michael Dolan and son, Koa Phoenix Dolan, with her fans and followers. Recently, the Barfi actress dropped the most adorable birthday wish for her ‘babycakes.’

Today, on September 13, Ileana D’Cruz took to her Instagram stories and posted an adorable birthday wish for her husband, Michael Dolan. The first photo was a monochrome snap in which the couple was seen posing for a sweet selfie while sitting in the car. In the snap, we can see Ileana resting her head on her husband’s shoulder while her husband leaned on her. “Happy birthday babycakes” followed by sparkle emoji read the caption alongside the post.

The following story was a small video clip of the duo enjoying their time beside the pool. In the video, we can see Ileana’s husband in the pool sporting goofy and quirky poses while she recorded him. “You make everything better (accompanied by a red heart and sparkle emoji) I love you (accompanied by smiling and red-heart emojis)” She also added Johnny Stimson’s Honeymoon song in the background.

Notably, Ileana has always remained tight-lipped about her private life. However, in an interview with India Today earlier this year, she had talked about her beau extensively. Upon being asked how he has been a great support to her, the actress got emotional. Confirming her marriage to Michael, she stated, “Married life is going beautifully. It’s really hard to say what I love about him the most. I’ll have to really think, because I feel like every time I come up with an answer, there’s something else that you know trumps that the next day.”

Ileana and Michael welcomed their first child, a baby boy on August 1, 2023, whom they named Koa Pheonix Dolan.

On the work front, Ileana was last seen in Do Aur Do Pyaar. Helmed by director Shirsha Guha Thakurta, the film also starred Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, and Sendhil Ramamurthy in key roles. Backed by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar, and Swati Iyer Chawla, the film was released in April and is now available for watching on Disney+Hotstar.

The Karate Kid Actor Chad McQueen Passes Away At 63 Following Organ Failure

Trigger Warning: This article contains mention of death.

Chad McQueen, actor Steve McQueen’s son and popular for starring in The Karate Kid, has passed away due to organ failure at the age of 63. As per his lifelong friend Arthur Barens, McQueen took his last breath at his Palm Desert ranch.

In 2020, he survived a fall, following which he was never able to recuperate completely, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Chad McQueen is best known for the role of bully Dutch in The Karate Kid and its sequel. He was part of the first two Karate Kid movies and did not return for the remaining films of the franchise.

Aside from The Karate Kid, McQueen also starred in movies like Skateboard (1978), Martial Law (1991), New York Cop (1993), Death Ring (1992), Red Line (1995), and more.

Following the footsteps of The Great Escape star Steven McQueen, his late father, Chad started McQueen Racing in 2010. It’s his company that specializes in high-performance vehicles and is currently led by his children Chase and Madison.

He was born on December 28, 1960, as Chadwick Steven McQueen in Los Angeles, and he grew up in Malibu. His mother, Neile Adams, was a Philippines-born actress married to Hollywood star Steve McQueen from 1956 to 1972 before separating.

Chase and Madison then paid tribute to their father via Instagram, honoring his love, commitment, and enthusiasm for the sport of racing, a promise that they will pursue.

McQueen’s children Chase and Madison took to Instagram to express their grief in a statement:

“His remarkable journey as a loving father to us, along with his unwavering commitment to our mother, truly exemplified a life filled with love and dedication.”

They added, “We will continue not only his legacy but our grandfather’s as well. As a family, we need to navigate this difficult time, and we kindly ask for privacy as we remember and celebrate his extraordinary life.”

Chad McQueen is survived by his mother, second wife Jeanie, along with their children Chase, Madison, and Steven (who starred in The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off Legacies). Contributions are invited towards Boys Republic in his memory that aims to provide homes for underprivileged children.
