Islamabad has declared “open war” on the Afghan Taliban government following renewed clashes along the shared border between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Google prevented a Chinese-linked hacking group attempting to infiltrate telecom and government organisations across at least 42 countries, the tech giant claimed Wednesday.

Shehbaz Sharif’s statement came hours after Pakistan struck targets inside Afghanistan’s major cities overnight.
