The Election Commission responded to Congress’ claims of inconsistencies in voter turnout data in Maharashtra elections, assuring a transparent review process and involvement of all parties. Despite Congress’ concerns about an increase in voters and reliability of EVMs, EC affirmed no discrepancies in the data.

Congress criticized the Ministry of External Affairs’ statement that the Indian government is not part of the US investigation into the Adani Group, highlighting the impossibility of the government investigating itself. The MEA clarified that India had not received any requests for cooperation from the US regarding the allegations against Adani Group executives.

Tension had been brewing in Sambhal since November 19 when the court-ordered survey of the Mughal-era mosque was carried out.
